Defence

Defence never leaves home. Every emplacement stands on the colony that built it and answers any raid that arrives, alongside whatever ships sit in the hangar — how the fight then runs is the same resolver for wall and fleet alike. Downed emplacements can stand back up after a battle, and they never leave debris for an attacker to sweep — a wall is cheap to hold compared to hulls in flight.

The Membrane and the Carapace are domes over the whole colony. The Antibody exists for one job: shooting down the Pathogen, the missile that strikes colonies from afar.
